We’ve spent the last few years talking with insurance agencies across the country – at conferences, in demos, during onboardings, and in everyday support chats. From two-person shops to enterprise operations, we’ve had thousands of conversations with agency leaders, producers, account managers, and everyone in between.
And while every agency is different, certain themes come up again and again.
Here’s what we’ve learned.
1. Everyone Is Busy—and Tired of Redundant Work
No one we talk to is sitting around looking for something to do. Teams are stretched thin, wearing multiple hats, and doing everything they can to serve clients well. But far too often, they’re bogged down by work that could—and should—be easier: rekeying data, chasing forms, digging through emails, or updating the same info in multiple places.
What agencies want:
Tools that remove work, not add more. Solutions that reduce duplicate entry, eliminate manual tasks, and free up time to focus on higher-value activities.
2. There’s Frustration With Disconnected Systems
A producer enters data in one place. The account manager fills out the ACORD in another. The submission lives in someone’s inbox. The client communication? Scattered across emails and voicemails.
Agencies are tired of piecing together tech that doesn’t talk to each other.
What agencies want:
Centralized systems. Clean handoffs. One source of truth that supports collaboration, not chaos.
3. Speed Matters, but Accuracy Still Comes First
Fast turnaround times are important, but not at the expense of errors. Many agencies we talk to have been burned by E&O scares, missed fields on ACORDs, or simple copy-paste mistakes. They want to move quickly, but they need to move confidently.
What agencies want:
Smart workflows that help them move fast and get it right…every time.
4. Clients Expect a Better Experience
Insurance clients today want what they get everywhere else: convenience, clarity, and responsiveness. Agencies know that asking clients to print, sign, scan, or resend info three times isn’t cutting it anymore.
What agencies want:
Tools that help them deliver a modern, seamless experience without needing to overhaul everything.
5. Change is Hard, but Not Changing Is Harder
The truth? Agencies know their processes need to evolve. But change comes with friction, fear, and the (valid) concern that the transition will take more time than it’s worth.
What agencies want:
A partner who understands how agencies work and makes change feel manageable, not overwhelming.
